What the BOEL staff values most

Dress with care
Whether we are heading out for an external meeting or spending the entire day at our desks, we make a conscious effort to present ourselves properly. Our appearance influences how others perceive us far more than we may realize.
And when we are dressed appropriately, our behavior naturally follows suit. We hope to cultivate not only an outward sense of refinement, but an inner one as well.
Your desk reflects your mind
We try to keep our desks clean and organized at all times. A tidy workspace helps us approach our work with clarity and structure.
I personally remember a time when I was overwhelmed and stressed at work, and was unexpectedly told to clean my desk. At the time, I wondered, “Why now, when I’m so busy?” But as I quietly focused on wiping things down, my thoughts gradually became organized. I was able to identify why I felt rushed and what needed to be done next, and afterward my work progressed much more smoothly.
Share Good food together
Once a week, we gather around the table and have lunch together. This habit began as a way to improve the eating habits that can easily become neglected during busy periods. Good meals contribute to a better version of ourselves, and since food helps shape who we are, we believe it deserves care and attention.
And beyond nutrition, a “good meal” that lifts your spirits can also become a welcome source of inspiration in everyday life. When we complete a major project, we sometimes celebrate together by going out for eel.
Take care of your tools
We are craftspeople engaged in creative work. The tools essential to our work are treated with care and respect. Caring for tools is not only about polishing or cleaning them; it also means understanding how to use them properly and maintaining them so they last.
Take the PCs we rely on every day, for example.
Avoid leaving unnecessary files on the desktop, delete files you no longer need, refrain from opening applications unnecessarily (and close them when not in use), and clear cached data regularly.
These may seem like obvious habits, but they are all part of using our tools responsibly and making them last longer.
Flower Biz
We value the time we spend with flowers and greenery. Watering our plants and changing the water for flowers have become part of our daily morning routine alongside cleaning the office. After all, working in a space surrounded by greenery simply feels better than working in a sterile environment.
Carefully observing flowers bloom or watching new shoots emerge from plants connects deeply to our work, which is rooted in appreciating and bringing out beauty.
We’ve even started gradually collecting gardening and horticultural tools. It’s surprisingly enjoyable, and we highly recommend it.
Conclusion
What did you think? If any of these practices resonated with you, we hope you’ll give them a try.
